This is a spoilerless review of the movie from my point of view. Don't expect something what you'd get from a professional review site!
Rating : 4/5
The movie basically highlights the issue of honour killing still practiced in areas like Haryana. It starts slow but then it takes you on a bumpy ride. You keep on thinking what will happen next during the whole course, and this is what makes you stick with your seat till the end. It has some very brutal scenes of violence but that was necessary to add to the seriousness of the issue. There is a twist in the beginning of the story which was foolishness, of course, but was necessary to build the rest of the movie. The movie presents the reality of many problems which are genuine but are overlooked by the society. It doesn't have any scenes which seem to be unrealistic. The story as well as the screenplay do not seem to exaggerate anywhere, which adds to the beauty of the movie.
Anushka has really nailed the movie with her acting. As Meera, her presence of mind and the daring nature is really worth an applause. She has done many things that were just right for the moment. She becomes bold towards the end which also leaves you awestruck.
On the whole, the movie is absolutely worth a shot. But be careful with kids, it's too violent for them!
Such thrillers should definitely be encouraged over unrealistic hits where Salman Khan blows off 20 people with just a kick or Abhishek Bacchan driving an autorickshaw over the rooftop!
